On May 12, 2020, at 10am CLT - Santiago time / 2pm UTC, UN ECLAC and the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network will host a Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean. 

The virtual event will address transnational and regional legal challenges in cyberspace, emphasizing the value of multistakeholder cooperation to develop interoperable standards and solutions.

Opening remarks and introductions by UN ECLAC, Germany - Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network.

The I&JPN Secretariat will present the key findings of the Internet & Jurisdiction Global Status Report 2019 and moderate a discussion on key regional trends including the Internet & Jurisdiction Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Status Report that will be launched later in 2020.

PART 3 : REGIONAL CONSULTATION ON THE FUTURE OF THE DIGITAL COOPERATION ARCHITECTURE

Following a Methodological introduction by the I&JPN Secretariat, participants will be invited to share their views on the Digital Cooperation Architecture models (as presented in the UN High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation Report) through a moderated discussion and live polling.
