ABOUT THE DATASPHERE INITIATIVE

The Datasphere Initiative is the world’s first global network of stakeholders fostering a holistic and innovative approach to data governance. Through knowledge sharing and the development of concrete, also technical solutions, it promotes a  new level of transnational cooperation and mission-oriented partnerships to harness the opportunities of data and address its urgent, multidimensional, and cross-border challenges. By cultivating dialogue and connecting communities, the Datasphere Initiative works to build a collaboratively governed Datasphere by connecting silos and people to responsibly unlock the value of data for all. How we collectively govern the Datasphere matters to everyone and will determine the future of human society in the 21st century and our capacity to deal with global challenges.
