I&J Hosts Workshop in Washington DC
I&J convened
October 7, 2013
Following multistakeholder meetings in Rio de Janeiro, Paris and New Delhi, Internet & Jurisdiction organised a fourth workshop in Washington DC on October 1-2, 2013, to prepare for the Internet Governance Forum 2013. Hosted in partnership with Georgetown University’s Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, participants from online platforms, operators, law enforcement and civil society discussed the need for fair process frameworks for cross-border online spaces. Moreover, the stakeholders explored how to handle the coexistence and interoperability of heterogeneous normative orders in cyberspace through procedural states-platforms/operators-users interfaces.
